Hanne is licensed in Oregon. Her practice primarily consists of environmental and insurance defense litigation.

Previously, Hanne was a legal intern at PacifiCorp, where she conducted research in support of the in-house legal department, focusing primarily on energy law issues, and at the Port of Portland, supporting the Port's environmental attorneys, focusing primarily on Superfund/CERCLA issues. She also served as Judicial Intern to the Honorable Anna J. Brown in the United States District Court.

While in law school, she was the recipient of a Natural Resources Law Scholarship, was on the Scholar List (2006-2009), and received the Pro Bono Honors Award (2008). She also served on the law review, Environmental Law (editor 2008-2009; member 2007-2008), and was on the Scales of Justice Dragon Boat Team (2007-2008).
