John is licensed in Oregon and Washington. Before law school, the Illinois native was a home builder for several years in Colorado. While attending Lewis & Clark Law School in Portland, Oregon, he served as an extern to the Honorable Otto R. Skopil, Jr., of the United States Court of Appeals for the Ninth Circuit. After graduating from law school in 1984, he practiced law in Colorado and Connecticut before returning to Oregon to join our firm in 1998.
John has successfully tried dozens of jury trials to verdict. His practice primarily involves complex civil litigation, construction defect, defense of professionals, and dental malpractice, as well as personal injury and product liability. He also serves as a Pro Tempore Circuit Court Judge for Washington County.
