Jessika is a licensed attorney in Washington and focuses her practice on civil litigation and insurance defense.

Prior to joining Davis Rothwell, Jessika served as law clerk to the Honorable Cassandra Lopez-Shaw and the Honorable Jon T. Scott of the Snohomish County Superior Court. There, she gained exposure to a breadth of substantive procedural criminal and civil law through drafting memoranda and Orders on issues presented by state cases. Having also participated in civil and criminal bench and jury trials, she was able to become well-versed with the various phases of trial including jury selection, witness testimony, jury instruction and jury deliberation processes.

Jessika earned her J.D. with honors from the University of Washington School of Law, where she served as Associate Editor-in-Chief on the Washington International Law Journal and was published for her work on qualified immunity federal court doctrine.  During law school, Jessika also interned at the ACLU and externed at the U.S. Attorney’s Office, where she developed her legal research and writing abilities alongside her communication skills to represent issues relating to the homelessness crisis, judicial and prosecutorial discretion, Veteran Affairs fraud, federal drug crime charges, workplace sex discrimination, and the Civil Rights of Institutionalized Persons Act.

In her free time, Jessika enjoys playing the piano, watching a great movie or series, reading Nietzsche, and spending time with her friends, family, and tiny Maltipoo named Cali.
