Elena graduated from the University of Washington School of Law in June, 2025. While in law school, Elena clerked at the Federal Trade Commission’s Seattle Office and served as a Hồng Đức Clerk, having been selected by the Vietnamese-American Bar Association of Washington to travel to Vietnam to intern at an international law firm. Elena also worked as a Hazelton Fellow for Professor Xuan-Thao Nguyen, the Director of the University of Washington School of Law’s Asian Law Center, and volunteered for OUTLaws, the student-led LGBTQIA+ advocacy organization. During her second year of law school, Elena participated in her law school’s Technology Law and Public Policy Clinic, where she researched ways to bridge the digital divide. Prior to attending law school, Elena graduated with High Honors from the University of Michigan in 2018, where she studied Asian Studies and Comparative Literature. She also worked for an economic development nonprofit that managed the State of Michigan’s relationship with China.
In her free time, Elena enjoys reading, exploring new restaurants, taking long walks, and staying connected with family and friends.
